We know you will enjoy staying in our home by the sea, and we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible in your home away from home.  Between the Sea Pines resort amenities (golf, tennis, horseback riding, watersports, bike trails, spa treatments, restaurants and shopping) and the amenities of our home (pool, hot tub, Xbox 360 system, bumper pool, 2 wet bars, gourmet kitchen, and less than a 2 minute walk to an uncrowded beach) we are confident that your stay at Royal Tern will be a memorable one.

Upscale furnishings combine with an open floor plan and Heart of Pine wood flooring on the main level to create a warm and inviting atmosphere with a sophisticated island flair.  The gourmet kitchen utilizes Viking appliances - double ovens, double dishwashers, 6 burner gas grill stove, wet bar, and wine refrigerator – to please even the most discriminating chefs.  The kitchen was designed to allow ample space for “many cooks in the kitchen” for those times when a group decides to prepare a meal together.  The dining room table seats 10 people, and the barstools around the large wrap-around kitchen counter provides dining space for 9 more people.

Four seating/conversation areas on the main floor provide ample space for large groups or family reunions to relax and catch up on each other’s lives.  The Living Room and Sun Room were designed adjacent to one another and can easily be combined to provide seating for a large group to watch a movie on the widescreen TV with Blu-Ray DVD player (the DVD player is also NetFlix-Pandora-Blockbuster-YouTube streaming compatible, which provides unlimited free instant video on demand for guests with a NetFlix account).   There are 10 televisions throughout the home and on the patio, most of which are hidden in armoirs to not distract from the interior design.

The game room downstairs provides another widescreen TV, this time connected to an Xbox 360 system for the ultimate in video gaming.  The game room also has a bumper pool table and wet bar to make your stay fun for kids of all ages.  Directly off the game room is the patio that leads to the heated pool and hot tub.  Outdoor seating for 14 guests is provided around the pool in a combination of lounge chairs and bistro chairs with tables to allow guests to enjoy the sunshine all day.  Leaving through the rear gate, guests can be on the beach in under 2 minutes, close enough that you’ll find guests constantly flowing back and forth from the home, the beach, and the pool.  Two outdoor shower stalls, each with their own private changing area, have recently been constructed to provide guests more ways to clean off after a day at the beach.

Rental guests also have full membership privledges at the South Beach Tennis Club, the premier tennis club in Sea Pines.

The 8 bedrooms in the home can comfortably sleep 20 guests.  Uitlizing the 2 sofa beds, the home can support as many as 24 overnight guests.  The bedroom layouts are as follows:
